But before the historic estate was destroyed, photographer Jonathan Haeber — who dedicates his free time to shooting abandoned homes — was able to cross the gates of the property and capture exclusive photos that would’ve otherwise never been seen by the world. Built in 1954, this ranch-style property sits on a quarter-acre lot and has three bedrooms and two full baths. An updated interior features newly refinished hardwood flooring and a freshly painted interior. Found adjacent to the Woodland Vista Swim and Racquet Club, this cul-de-sac property offers four bedrooms, two-and-half baths and 2,140 square feet. As a historical resource, any potential renovations to the home will require additional review and it cannot be demolished.

The Macintosh, however, was expensive, which hindered its ability to be competitive in a market already dominated by the Commodore 64 for consumers, and the IBM Personal Computer and its accompanying clone market for businesses. Macintosh systems still found success in education and desktop publishing and kept Apple as the second-largest PC manufacturer for the next decade. It aired during the third quarter of Super Bowl XVIII on January 22, 1984, received as a "watershed event" and a "masterpiece". It uses an unnamed heroine to represent the coming of the Macintosh (indicated by a Picasso-style picture of the computer on her white tank top) to save humanity from the conformity of IBM's domination of the computer industry. The ad alludes to George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, which describes a dystopian future ruled by a televised "Big Brother."

Paul built a workbench in his garage for his son in order to "pass along his love of mechanics”. Jobs, meanwhile, admired his father's craftsmanship "because he knew how to build anything. While Eichler's style differed from Wright's, the moralistic goal of democratizing good and elegant design was an imperative for both of them. Architecturally, the home is a Joseph Eichler-built house, one of 11,000 built in California during a 25-year period.

Upon completion of the merger, Jobs received 7% of Disney shares, and joined the board of directors as the largest individual shareholder. Upon Jobs's death his shares in Disney were transferred to the Steven P. Jobs Trust led by Laurene Jobs. Though it was considered a historic home, it was demolished in 2011 by its last owner, Steve Jobs.

On January 17, 2011, a year and a half after Jobs returned to work following the liver transplant, Apple announced that he had been granted a medical leave of absence.
